“Just look at us. Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information and religions destroy spirituality.”—Michael Ellner
Religious zealots, I don't care what you believe in, just stop trying to convert me
Despite all the scientific and historical fallacies, undeniable evidence of corrupt institutions and their seminal texts being heavily interpolated, I’m going to critique Judeo-christianity in a way that’s probably more difficult to refute.
I doubt an ominipotent entity could ever truly condemn or exalt its corporeal creations. Let me explain - if you were to program advanced artificial intelligence in a simulation to inhabit a realm with specified constraints, would you blame any of them for “fucking up”? They’d only act in accordance to the syntaxes and algorithms you designed and placed upon them, thus it’s out of their control. They were flawed to begin with.
A system that makes much more sense to govern your intelligent constructs would probably be something along the lines of karma. You simply code the ethical laws of cause and effect into their existential matrix, much like coding the foundations of evolution (which provides the dynamics of uncertainty as a brilliant aspect of a diverse and self-driven cosmos). Divine intervention would then completely cease to be necessary. If any of your creations fucked up, it would be their own fault and you wouldn’t have to manually punish an individual for whatever reason. They’d be the cause of their own demise. You’re just sitting back and watching it all unfold in an unpredictable manner.
